Throughout the reflections on my educational journey at UBC and three learning goals evolved out of the metaphor - the flower in the garden, further goals grew in my heart and shaped in my mind.
Child Care: My insight got deepened more than before. After graduation, I plan to apply my knowledge from my studies and work more profoundly on the curriculum and pedagogy. For example, implementing "The Random Act of Kindness, Mindup Program and Assessment for Quality Improvement", in my multi-age child care group centre are my top priorities. Nevertheless this is a work in progress and one of my long term goals to focus on for further work and connecting the theories to practice.
Professional Development: My inspiration grew stronger to work harder on finalizing the creation of the online professional development platform for early childhood educators and individuals interested in getting familiar with the context of Early Childhood Education (sneak a peek of the initial stage of my Professional Development Platform website through this link).
Family Support: Alongside my previous goal, my other goal is to plan a platform, and a blog for families in addition to providing them with extensive resources, navigating children's daily ups and downs I observe, as an early childhood educator, at child care centres.
